Iceland Volcano
Scottish health authorities as well as WHO (World Health Organisation) has issued health warnings. Saying that the ash falling to the ground in the northern Britain could cause serious respiratory and lung problems. Primarily, people suffering from asthma are more likely to be at risk. So WHO is trying very hard to collect information and the kinds of health risk the ash cloud might pose.

However, the British health officials have underplaying the health hazard, saying that only a “small faction of Iceland volcanic plume” would be falling on the ground level. Starting this evening in Scotland and then it will move over to the south of UK according to the Health Protection Scotland. Though the concentration of the particles reaching the ground is likely to be very low and shouldn’t cause any kind of serious harm, still people are asked to stay indoors.

People outside might experience eyes getting itchy and irritation, with runny nose and sore throat and dry cough. Also if they smell sulphur, rotten eggs they should get indoors. Already due to the smoke and ash clouds along with Britain seven other European countries have closed their airspace. According to the weather experts, the ash cloud is expected to move both Eastwards into Russia and Southwards over Europe at a speed of a slow moving car.
