Day of Silence

Day of Silence
National Day Of Silence Makes Its Presence Known

The National Day of Silence is scheduled for many public schools in the United States tomorrow, April 16. This is sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network or “GLSEN”.

Although there is no proven social benefit from the event, it is allowed in public schools and is therefore supported with tax dollars of those in the United States. The recent Fox news piece condemning the GLSEN event was counter-attacked by change.org.  All this is occurring even before the GLSEN date arrives tomorrow.

Many parents take their children out of school on this date to protect them from the violence that historically occurs. The pressing issue of the silence is purportedly to support those who are homosexual by being silent for them against their supposed persecutors. Even if a person is not a homosexual, they could therefore support the homosexual lifestyle just by not talking on April 16.

No proof has ever been given for the claim that being a homosexual is similar to being of another race. It has been shown repeatedly that a homosexual can change their sexual inclination. It is quite the opposite event for the color of the skin.

The National Day of Silence is meant to prevent more violence. Here is hoping this happens on both sides of the issue.
